Official description[]

"Mankind's arduous journey across the vast breadth of the Solar System has been nothing if not brutal. By the early-middle 21st Century, the old nations of man's birthplace, Earth, had finally realized their dream of exploring, even colonizing the worlds that compose the system. However, their idealism would prove naïve. As their colonies grew, so did their ambition, and their needs. It was less than a century before human colonies on Mars began to violently secede from their ancestral nations on Earth, in opposition to what they believed was Terrocentric imperialism. This would repeat on newer colonies throughout other regions of the solar system, oftentimes with a shorter timespan than the Martian example. Worse yet, humanity itself had grown apart. Settlers that had "gone native" on their new homes had, by either force or willful consent, transformed their very beings to be more attuned to the natural state of the alien worlds that had grown to adore. Ultimately, what had been mankind's greatest hope and dream, to tread soil not of their earth, had wrought an age of cynicism, war, and terror not yet seen in the great annals of human history..."
