Khet

Khet is an abstract strategy board game akin to chess, distinguished by its use of lasers. Formerly known as Deflexion, the game involves players taking turns maneuvering Egyptian-themed pieces across the board, with each move followed by activating a low-powered laser diode. The majority of these pieces feature mirroring on one or more sides, granting players the ability to adjust the laser's path as it traverses the board. When a piece is struck by a laser on a non-mirrored side, it is removed from the game.

The game received the Mensa Select Award under its old name. However, on September 15, 2006, its name was changed. While the rules of gameplay remained unchanged, the game underwent a transformation in terms of design, featuring a new color scheme and box design. Under its new name, the game emerged as one of the five finalists for the 2007 Toy of the Year award.
