Board Games Wiki

Evacuation is a 2023 board game where players focus on evacuating the population and infrastructure from an old planet to a new one. The game is designed for 1-4 players and has a playing time of 60-150 minutes, suitable for ages 12 and up. In this game, life on the old planet is threatened by intense sunlight, and players have only four rounds to move people and factories to the new planet.

Players start with a functioning economy on the old planet but must gradually dismantle it and establish themselves on the new planet. Income on the old planet decreases over time, and resources cannot be mixed between the two planets, requiring careful planning.

To accomplish this, players choose actions from a player board, and an expert variant allows them to use cards to select additional actions and combine them. Each action has a value, which contributes to an end-of-round bonus. Players also move markers along an orbital track based on the value of their actions.

The objective is to raise the production of three resources to level 8 and have three virtual reality machines on the new planet to win. If not, players compare scores after four rounds. Evacuation includes modules that introduce new gameplay options.
