Brass: Birmingham is a 2018 strategic board game set during the Industrial Revolution in Birmingham, UK. Players take on the role of entrepreneurs competing to build networks, grow industries and navigate the market demands during the years of 1770-1870. The game is divided into two halves, the canal era and the rail era, and players use actions such as building, networking, developing, selling, and taking loans to achieve victory. The game includes new features such as a "scout" action, dynamic scoring for canals and rails, and new industries such as brewery, manufactured goods, and pottery. The game also includes a "Sell" system where players must consume beer in order to sell their goods, and increased coal and iron market sizes. The game is designed for 2-4 players and has a playing time of 60-120 minutes, with a recommended age of 14+ and a complexity rating of 3.9 out of 5.
